Since Mr Chan graduated from the Hong Kong Academy of Fine Arts in 1957, he has been devoted himself to fine arts education for more than 60 years. Working tirelessly to cultivate countless art talents for Hong Kong. He founded the Hon Chai Art Gallery in 1967, and held joint exhibitions of teachers and students of the Hon Chai Art Gallery at the Hong Kong City Hall in 1980 and 2015.

In 1982, he founded the Hong Kong Artists Association with a group of enthusiastic artists. From 1982 to 2000, he was elected as president and vice president for multiple terms. During this period, he had organized many local and international exhibitions in Singapore, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Canada, as well as Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Xinhui, Shenzhen, Macau and other major cities. Actively promote members' art works, promote and deepen cultural exchanges between Hong Kong, mainland and overseas countries, and broaden members' artistic horizons.

Mr Chan has been fascinated by painting art for many years, constantly innovating, and having various styles. He has hosted and participated in numerous exhibitions of various sizes.
